Michigan guy plans to ROW across the Atlantic
Bryce Carlson is planning on rowing, solo, from Newfoundland, Canada to England next summer. According to MLive.com, it will take from 40 to 100 days to make the 2,000 mile trip, which he plans to attempt next summer. He has a specially constructed rowboat, which is supposed to withstand winds of 150-200 MPH and rights itself if capsized. As part of his training, he'll be rowing across Lake Michigan, starting today, from Milwaukee to his hometown, Muskegon.
Fifteen people have already made the trip solo across the Atlantic before. And Bryce did once run across America. 3100 miles in 140 days - so he's proven he's in good enough physical shape to do it.
No word on if he has friends named Jenny, Bubba and Lieutenant Dan.
