In determining average holiday budgets for cities around America, WalletHub took a variety of factors into account - ranging from the cities' average income, age, how much the average resident has in savings vs. what their average monthly expenses are.
Most Americans will budget a little over a thousand dollars for the upcoming holiday season, according to WalletHub. There's a wide range though across the nation - residents of Lauderhill, Florida, spend the least on Christmas at around $217. The highest Christmas budget in the country is in Newton, Massachusetts, at a whopping $4,206!
