MotorCity Casino in Detroit is one of only two casinos in Michigan's Lower Peninsula to be rated among the state's five most luxurious.

Maggie M. was particularly impressed with the attached hotel:

The bathroom was exquisite with a large walk in tiled shower and a soaking tub. Great bathroom amenities and bathrobe also.

Bay Mills Resort & Casino is in Brimley, Michigan, and is run by the Bay Mills Indian Community. It ranks as the 4th most luxurious casino in the state.

David was pleasantly surprised by one of the casino's restaurants:

I must say after traveling in many different hotels this is the best vegan/vegetarian food we have ever encountered, as most vegetarian/vegan food offered are normally deep fried or a salad or a wrap. The food offered at this venue was deserving of any foodie.

The 3rd most luxurious casino in Michigan is Saganing Eagles Landing Casino in Standish - the other Lower Peninsula representative on this list.

TripAdvisor review submitter charm557 found the place, well, charming:

The lobby is decorated in Native American style with exposed beams and a plank flooring. It is very spacious with numerous comfortable chairs to relax in. They also have a beautiful gas fireplace in the lobby.

Lac Vieux Desert Resort & Casino (a.k.a. Northern Waters) in Watersmeet ranks as the 2nd most luxurious casino in Michigan.

This one's even got its own 18-hole golf course, which impressed TripAdvisor review submitter AAAAwells:

The golf course is excellent. From the tee boxes to the fairways to the rough, it is in great shape. There are four tees on each hole which makes the course playable for all levels of players.

Looking for the most luxurious casino in Michigan? Casinos.com says it's Island Resort & Casino in Harris.

Operated by the Hannahville Indian Community of the Potawatomi Tribe, this casino doesn't leave much else to be desired. It's got more than 450 guest rooms, over a thousand slot machines, a dedicated room that's nothing but poker, a bingo hall, a pair of championship golf courses, a spa, an RV Park, and much more.

TripAdvisor reviewer SE231 called her visit the "highlight of her vacation":

The hotel lobby welcomed us with the wonderful scent of vanilla coming from the candles for sale in the Gift Shop across the lobby. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the 12th floor Horizon Steakhouse with awesome views. Our room had all the amenities expected at a top rated hotel.
