Lost Michigan Cat Shows Up Safe – In Florida
Bandit the cat had obviously had enough. At 2 1/2-years-old, he'd already been through a couple of Michigan winters and decided to get out. So he went "missing" in October. Two months later, thanks to his implanted microchip, Bandit's owner, Judy, got a call from an animal hospital in Tampa saying he was there.
According to UpNorthLive.com, Bandit had gone 1000 miles south in two months. Did Bandit climb into the cargo hold of a Learjet? Hop a freight and ride the rails? Or was he so motivated to get down to the Pickleball courts, that he ran all the way?
We may never know. But he's being flown back up here this week. Just in time for the rest of winter. If he had opposable thumbs he might have been able to ditch that microchip and stayed down there.
Welcome back, Bandit. Here's the story.
