Since Michigan restaurants have opened, and even though it's only 25 percent, I have ventured out to dinner twice in the past week. I have to say I have never enjoyed going out to eat so much.  Also the looks on all the faces in the restaurants said it all.  Happy faces all around, and everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves.

With the looser restrictions throughout the state, let's share some new restaurants, some that are recently new, and some old favorites here in the greater Lansing area. I found a lot of good information about this on Lansing.org.

First, here are all the dining guidelines you should know: restaurants are open at 25% occupancy, 6 people to a table max, 6’ apart, wear a mask and observe the 10 PM curfew.

Here are a few places to check out and give you ideas on where to dine.

Jolly Pumpkin Café  and Brewery ( Newish)

Barrio Tacos + Tequila + Whiskey (Newish)

Sansu Sushi (Old Fav)

One North Kitchen (New)

Tangy Crab (New)

Fidler's On The Grand (Newish)

Bordeaux (Old Fav)

So there you go a few to try out, and think about the next time you venture out for an evening with family or friends.  Of course with any restaurant you may want to call first and see if you can make a reservation. Plus many restaurants have different hours now because of the 10 PM curfew and limited seating. Hopefully that will change as the number of cases of COVID-19 continue to decrease in Michigan. Bon appetit!
