A Lansing Sub Shop Has Closed Down – But Could It Be Coming Back?
Another Lansing restaurant has shuttered it doors - but despite what it might look like from the outside, there's at least one sign that the shop may re-surface.
After more than 50 years serving subs and salads on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Foster Avenue not far from downtown Lansing, the city's only Blimpie location has shut down.
No more Blimpie Best Deluxes. No more Hoboken Heros. No more Sicilians or Meatball Parmigiana. At least not in Lansing.

All the old restaurant signage has been removed, the parking lot is barren, and there's no sign of life at all.
Is Blimpie in Lansing Going to Re-Open?
Despite all the outward signs looking like Blimpie has packed up and left town for good, there's one little nugget that fans of the Lansing shop are holding onto as a last-ditch hope.

If you check Blimpie's corporate website for a map of all its locations, the one at 2323 East Michigan Avenue in Lansing is listed as "Temporary Closed" (not "temporarily", but we won't judge them for that).

Could Blimpie re-open at that location under new ownership? Maybe there are plans to set up shop in another part of town? Time will tell.
Does Blimpie Have Any Other Locations in Michigan?
If you counted yourself among the Blimpie ride-or-dies, you don't have to travel terribly far to get your fix. Despite the apparent closure of its Lansing location, Blimpie continues to operate restaurants in Detroit, Canton, Hillsdale, Zeeland, Ada and Grand Rapids.
