The Ingham County Health Department is holding a Scrap Tire Recycling event on Saturday, June 2nd in Mason. Tires may be dropped off for recycling, free of charge from 8am until noon on June 2nd at the Ingham County Road Department located at 301 North Brush Street in Mason.

There are a few things you need to know before you take your tires to the event. First, residential tires will be accepted. However, tractor and semi tires will NOT be accepted at this event and tires from businesses will also not be accepted. The scrap tire collection is a partnership between the Ingham County Health Department, the Charter Township of Meridian and the Eaton County Resource Recovery Department and is funded in part by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
