Kristen’s Top 13 Picks for Lansing Restaurant Week
Lansing's most delicious week of the year is here: Lansing Restaurant Week!
During Lansing Restaurant Week, patrons can go to participating restaurants and get a delicious, specialty menu item for just $7. Not to mention, some places also have a $5 drink special going on.
Lansing Restaurant Week takes place May 9 through 17, and this year, more than 100 different restaurants are participating!
Lansing Restaurant Week Favorites (My Picks)
With so many choices—and only so much time and money—I figured I'd share some of my favorites for this year's Restaurant Week.
Brewitt Cafe & Bakery - Lansing
Skip the hair of the dog and get Brewitt Cafe & Bakery's Hangover sausage breakfast sandwich instead. It's got sausage, egg, cheddar cheese, chipotle aioli, and maple syrup sandwiched between two halves of a golden waffle.
Eaton Rapids Craft Company - Eaton Rapids
$7 gets you the Piggy Tot Destroyer at Eaton Rapids Craft Company. It's got tots and cheese curds smothered in cheese sauce, pulled pork, coleslaw, jalapenos, house-made BBQ sauce, and fried onions.
Fuel'd Stir Fry and Salads - East Lansing
If you like things a little spicy, Fuel'd has you covered with an order of mini spicy garlic chicken noodles.
Grand Grillin - East Lansing
The meal and the drink are real winners at Grand Grillin: a Fiesta wrap for $7 and a fresh squeezed lemonade for $5.
Groovy Donuts - East Lansing
Groovy Donuts is hooking you up with a half dozen classic donuts for $7. There are a few different varieties of donuts that qualify as classic, but my favorite has to be a blueberry cake donut.
Kin Thai - Lansing (Lansing Shuffle)
Kin Thai is offering, what might be, their most popular dish: crab rangoon nachos. Everything you love about a classic crab rangoon, but in nacho form with crispy wontons as the chips, and topped with gooey imitation crab and cheese, scallions, and Thai sweet chili sauce.
Lalafish - Lansing (Lansing Shuffle)
The 517 Crunch Roll is just $7 this week. It comes with shrimp tempura, spicy crab, avocado, cucumber, and rice wrapped in Nori.
Naing Myanmar Family Restaurant - Lansing
Although my go-to dish is the garlic chicken, I'm excited to try something new. They're offering their fried spicy egg noodle with chicken.
Peculiar Coffee Co. - Lansing (mobile - coffee cart)
If you love an indulgent latte, Peculiar Coffee Co. has you covered with their banana bread latte for just $5.
Sindhu Indian Cuisine - East Lansing
Everything on Sindhu's menu is delicious, but I'm particularly excited they decided to offer butter chicken as their $7 dish. It also comes with rice and a piece of naan.
The People's Kitchen - Lansing
The People's Kitchen serves some of the best food and cocktails in Lansing, and they have an offering for both of those categories that shouldn't be missed. The $7 meal is an order of croquettes: ham hock, gruyere cheese, pickled red onions, and mustard aioli.
The $5 drink is the strawberry fields: vodka, strawberry basil syrup, lemon, and bubbles.
TIN CUP Cafe - DeWitt
Two of my favorite things in the world are ice cream and espresso, and TIN CUP Cafe combines them for an affogato. Vanilla ice cream topped with espresso and whipped cream.
Zoobies/The Cosmos - Old Town Lansing
The Cosmos and Zoobies are offering their stuffed corn fritter—my favorite appetizer there! It's corn and cream cheese mixed together, then hand-battered and fried. They're served with two yummy sauces: jalapeno aioli and tomato jam.
