According to USA Today, the Prime Minister (who has a 2 year-old daughter) was asked if she and the New Zealand government considered the Easter Bunny to be essential. Prime Minister Ardern confirmed that he was, saying:

You will be pleased to know that we do consider both the tooth fairy and the Easter Bunny to be essential workers.

So, there you have it, kids. BOTH the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy are essential. HOWEVER - the Prime Minister went on to add that Easter Bunny may be spending extra time social distancing with his family this year:

So I say to the children of New Zealand, if the Easter Bunny doesn’t make it to your household, we have to understand that it’s a bit difficult at the moment for the bunny to perhaps be everywhere.

Governor Whitmer - how say you? Is Easter Bunny an essential worker?
