So you, like me were maybe thinking that even after all of the concerts and festivals here in Michigan that have been cancelled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, you could still hold on to the hope that one of the biggest concerts you were looking forward to would still happen this year.

I mean, it's scheduled for August...even the middle of August, so certainly we'll get to see Kenny Chesney when he returns to Detroit for one of his epic Ford Field shows, right?

Nope.

Unfortunately, the latest show to become a casualty in Michigan due to Coronavirus concerns would be Kenny Chesney's "Chillaxification Tour" that was due to land at Ford Field on Saturday, August 15 of this year. It will not take place as scheduled.

Instead, the concert has been postponed to Saturday, August 14, 2021, still at Ford Field. The good news is that the original line-up of the 2020 show will remain intact for next year's performance. That would be Kenny Chesney of course, along with Florida-Georgia Line, Old Dominion and Michael Franti & Spearhead.

If you are currently holding tickets to this year's concert, they will be good for next year's date too, automatically. If you want to hang on to your tickets and go next year, well that's all you have to do. If you can't be at the newly re-scheduled show next year, you have 30 days from today (June 15, 2020) to ask for a refund from wherever you bought your tickets.

If you bought your tickets from Ticketmaster, you can click here to get info and more. And you can get the same by clicking here if you bought your tickets from the Ford Field Box Office.
