Kelly Ripa in Ann Arbor Giving Big Support to U of M Wrestling
It's all "Go Blue" in the Ripa-Consuelos house proving stars are parents just like everyone else when it comes to supporting their kids.
Just days after the announcement came down that Ryan Seacrest would be leaving the popular ABC morning show Live with Kelly & Ryan, Kelly Ripa, and hubby Mark Consuelos were spotted representing the blue & gold in Ann Arbor for a wrestling tournament. Consuelos is on the heels of officially being named the replacement for Seacrest when he departs in the spring.
The couple, which is no strangers to being in Ann Arbor, posted photos of themselves on social media posing with the U of M pseudo "mascot", Wolverine Trooper. Ripa was sure to tag the school's wrestling team, which their son, Joaquin is a member of.
The couple has become frequent visitors to Ann Arbor since Joaquin, the youngest of their three children, signed on to wrestle for the University of Michigan in 2021. Since then they have been on campus for parent's weekends and spotted this past October celebrating his Big Ten wrestling win and the team's big moment being honored during the football game at the Big House.
Wolverine Trooper also took some time to share pics with the new morning talk show couple saying,
"They took pics with me prior to Michigan Wrestling tonight! Their son is on the team. Mark came up to me, shook my hand, and said they've been wanting to take a photo with me forever. I said I love when they talk about #annarbor & Kelly said it's their home away from home"
Ripa has always been open on her show about marriage and family life. Now with her husband sharing hosting duties, we may get even more.
