Kacey Musgraves and Willie Nelson will take center stage at the CMA Awards on Wednesday (Nov. 13) to perform a very special duet on the song "Rainbow Connection."

Lara Spencer shared the news during Good Morning America on Monday (Nov. 11), showing an adorable old video of a very young Musgraves singing the song — which is originally from 1979's The Muppet Movie — in a grainy old home video. Musgraves shared the announcement on her Instagram account on Monday (Nov. 11), captioning the post "A [WILLIE] FULL CIRCLE MOMENT."

"Rainbow Connection" is a song that is special to both artists, as Nelson included it on his 2001 album of the same name, while Musgraves first performed the song when she was 9 years old.

Musgraves and Nelson previously collaborated on Musgraves' 2016 Christmas album A Very Kacey Christmas, where the two joined forces for "A Willie Nice Christmas."

Their CMA Awards performance is just one of a long string of special moments in store. Carrie Underwood will join her co-hosts, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton, to lead an all-star female performance that includes Terri Clark, Sara Evans, Crystal Gayle, the Highwomen (Brandi Carlile, Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires), Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Tanya Tucker and Gretchen Wilson.

Kelsea Ballerini will join Lindsay Ell, Maddie & Tae, Ashley McBryde, Carly Pearce and Runaway June for a special performance featuring an appearance by Little Big Town.
