I had forgotten that I was wearing a shirt with a person on it. Mind you, heretofore I had thought it was a character that the fine folks over at Lansing Brewing Company had created to brand one of their dark beers with.

I mean Joe In Black. Dark beer. Makes sense right?

But Joe in Black was indeed very real.

So what's the Joe In Black story?

Well this one made it's debut back in April of last year. Pandemic be damned. Joe In Black had arrived.

I searched high and low as to why the love of Father Joe was the inspiration to give him his own brew, and the best I found was the homage they paid to him on the bottom of the poster bearing his likeness and namesake.
