According to Family Handyman, the richest zip code in Michigan is 48009. Those five little numbers add up to big cash and belong to the city of Birmingham. According to a recent census, Birmingham has a population of around 21,000+. Here's what FH has to say about the Oakland Country town, located just north of Detroit.

"Named one of the country’s “Top 20 Most Walkable Communities,” the city of Birmingham offers recreational, cultural, and urban advantages all while giving off that small-town vibe. The median home value is $502,900".

Just to compare, Realtor.Com lists the median home value of Fenton, Michigan as $357.4K, and Davison, Michigan around $240K.
