This Detroit Butcher Shop & Restaurant Chosen Best Place to Dine in Michigan
If there's one thing for sure, Americans love eating out. In fact, Americans spend about 70.1 billion dollars on eating out each month. No, that wasn't a typo, yes I meant billion. With statistics like that, it's no wonder that amazing restaurants are popping up every day in towns across the country.
Recently Sherman's Travel took the delicious time to round up the best restaurant in each state from coast to coast. I'm sure the research was just horrible ( insert sarcasm here) having to dine at some other most unique and innovative culinary locations throughout the United States, but they did it.
Making the list as the "Best Restaurant in Michigan" was a unique dining experience in Michigan. Marrow Butcher Shop & Restaurant located on Kercheval Street in the West Village area of Detroit took the top spot according to Sherman's Travel's list.
Known for her vision and detail along with a sense of community, founder Ping Ho is also the owner of the downtown wine bar The Royce and a co-founder of Mink. Here's what Sherman's Travel had to say about Marrow which opened in 2018;
"Detroit’s first neighborhood hybrid butcher shop and restaurant, dishes out locally sourced meat and other ingredients in a five-course prix-fixe menu. The two-time James Beard award-nominated restaurant works directly with local farmers and producers, ensuring that diners enjoy quality meat from reputable sources. To minimize waste, the staff breaks down every single piece of meat in-house so all parts can be used".
The culinary experience is spearheaded at the four-time James Beard nominated restaurant by Executive Chef Sarah Welch who was a Top Chef Season 19 finalist. Marrow offers both dine-in and outdoor seating and by the looks of the menu, it's a place you'll really want to add to your dining adventure agenda.
