Alligator Spotted In One Of The Great Lakes

An alligator was recently spotted in Lake Erie and the search is on to capture it.

Witnesses were able to record the alligator in Pennsylvania, now the question is - how far will the gator swim? Do you think the alligator could make it to Michigan?

According to FOX 66, the alligator is believed to have been kept as an exotic pet before being released into the water.

Darren Julius, a reptile keeper at the Erie Zoo, believes that the alligator on the loose is approximately two to four years old, based on its size. According to Julius via News Channel 3, the alligator is likely to hunt for tadpoles, frogs, and smaller fish as its potential prey.

It’s definitely more scared of you than you are of it, so it’ll probably just swim away from you anytime you’re within like 10 feet of it. It’s not really going to come after you.

Okay, Mr. Julius, we are going to hold you to that.

Authorities are working with trappers and alligator experts to capture the alligator safely. In the meantime, my question remains - is this alligator heading to Michigan?

This has movie potential written all over it. Who doesn't love a wholesome movie about an animal just trying to get back home, or attempting to find a new home?
