There’s a New Traffic Signal in Lansing That Will Affect Detoured Traffic
There is so much construction going on in Lansing at the moment.
127 has lane closures and shifts, both north and southbound between 96 and Saginaw. Not to mention, Michigan Avenue in various stretches between Frandor and east of Pennsylvania are being torn up and therefore closed down as part of the Michigan Avenue Corridor project. Due to this, a ton of traffic is being rerouted and detoured. So it's good to be aware of a new traffic signal that could impact that traffic.
There's a New Traffic Signal in Lansing
With construction along 127 and Michigan Avenue the way it is, a detour many people have to take to go northbound is to take Aurelius north. And if you have to hop onto Saginaw to head eastbound, you might encounter this new traffic signal.
There's a brand new traffic signal on Saginaw at North Fairview Avenue in Lansing.
There was already a traffic light at the other end of Fairview at Grand River. This new traffic signal at Fairview and Saginaw will allow for a safer place for pedestrians to cross the street.

If you encounter this light on your normal commute, I'm sure it will quickly become familiar to you. However, if you don't often travel along that route, this new light might be a surprise, so this is just your friendly heads up!
