Grand Rapids Ranks 6th In Fastest-Selling Housing Markets: Spring Insights

CNBC just issued a report that Grand Rapids is one of the best housing markets for selling your home in the country. Quite the honor!

With spring ramping up the homebuying season, Creditnews Research wanted to find out where houses are selling the best, and where they are selling the worst. So, in their research, they ranked the fastest-selling housing markets in America within the top 100 most populous metropolitan areas and Grand Rapids came in at number six in the country!

In other words, if you are selling your house, chances are it will only be on the market for around 11 days or so before it will be snatched up by a new buyer.

The survey also showed that the fastest selling housing markets were all on the East Coast and Midwest. Along with Grand Rapids, Columbus, Ohio is the only other Midwest city in the top ten. Surprisingly no one in the south, especially Florida, and the  West Coast made the list.

You would think that the usually hot markets of, let's say, Austin, or San Antonio, Texas, or even Florida cities such as Jacksonville and Cape Coral would be at the top of the hot selling list. But, no, in those cities houses stay on the market for between 41 and 66 days. Ouch!
