According to Inside Edition, authorities in Florida are threatening to press child neglect charges against five moms and dads who allowed their children to go into the ocean while double red flags were flying.

Two red flags are the most severe beach warning, meaning the water is too dangerous for even the strongest swimmers.

It's important for parents to take these warnings seriously and keep their children out of the water when double red flags are posted.
