It's that time of year, when the Girl Scouts start their biggest fund raising event of the year. Or if you're like me, it's the month of the year where you get access to the best cookies of the year.

This year, the girl scouts are offering 9 different flavors this year of their infamous cookies. They include Adventurefuls, Toast-Yay!, Thin Mints, Caramel DeLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Trefoils, Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Lemonades. And they should run you $6 a box, which is up from $5 in 2021.

But, we all agree they're worth every penny, especially when they support the Girl Scouts and their mission to empower girls to be the best they can be. So, if you're looking to support the Girl Scouts this season, you have three ways of doing so

Find a girl scout

The first (and most obvious) option is to support a girl scout that you know personally. If you have a girl scout in your life, or know someone who is the parent of one, you are able to directly order from them to help them raise money for their specific troop.

Visiting a booth in person

The girl scout troops of West Michigan will be setting up all over the area through the months of January and February. You can either: hope they're at the grocery store when you stop by. I'm always hoping I'll spot them at the D&W in my neighborhood

Can't find a girl scout in person to buy cookies from? Thank god we live in the future- you can now order your cookies online during the sales season.They will ship them to your door, but this is the most expensive option since you do have to pay for shipping on top of your purchase.
