Luxury Michigan Retreat Named No. 2 Top Glamping Spot in the Entire Country

One Michigan resort was in running for the Best Glamping Spot in the U.S. in a USA Today and 10best readers poll.

USA Today explains that glamping (or glamourous camping) "combines the minimalistic nature of camping with modern amenities and creature comforts."
A panel of experts picked the top 20 glamping retreats in the U.S. then it was put up to a public vote.
Michigan's Beaver Island Retreat has been voted the No. 2 glamping spot in the entire country. The resort lies on Beaver Island in Lake Michigan between the Lower and Upper Peninsula.
Beaver Island is considered to be one of the most remote locations in the country, making Beaver Island Retreat a truly unique experience.

Just recently Dark Sky International certified a specific area on the lower portion of Beaver Island as an International Dark Sky Sanctuary. It's one of just 20 in the world and 1.5 miles south of Beaver Island Retreat.
At Beaver Island resort, you'll stay in a 184 square foot luxury safari tent with with a queen memory foam mattress and bamboo sheets, custom furniture, and a private porch.
The kitchen and guest laundry are open 24 hours a day.
You can cook on the charcoal grill at your tent, visit the pavilion's fully equipped bar, or dine at one of the island's restaurants.
In your private bathhouse you'll find high-quality fixtures and thick bath towels.
