Who doesn't love Michigan apples? McIntosh, Honeycrisp, Ginger Gold...the list goes on.

And you couldn't tell by my lawn, but apparently the weather has been great for Michigan apples. According to WILX-TV, the report is that Spring and Summer were very good this year for Michigan apples and in turn that will create a harvest of about 3-million more bushels than an average year.

An average harvest year for Michigan apples is 25-million bushels. So, the expectation this year is around a 28-million bushel harvest. Here's some interesting news, the apples from our great state are shipped to 27 states and 18 countries!

Good thing we have lots of bushels of apples every year I'd say.

Here's more info about Michigan apples from WILX-TV.
