I adore going on adventures.
Whenever I have the opportunity to travel, one of my favorite things to do is go to a museum or take a tour of someplace where I can learn something and experience something new.
Unique Adventures to Take in Michigan
And you don't have to travel to the other side of the world to experience new things. You can do it right here in your home state of Michigan!
If you want to explore and learn something new, you've got to check out Iron Mountain Iron Mine.
Iron Mountain Iron Mine in Vulcan, Michigan
Iron Mountain Iron Mine is probably a place you've never heard of, I know I hadn't until I watched a video from frommichiganwithloveblog on TikTok.
Even being a native Michigander and having lived here all of my 33 years of life, I had never heard of this place. And now, all I can think about is going to visit it!
Take an Underground Train Ride Through a Former Michigan Iron Mine
Iron Mountain Iron Mine is located in Vulcan, Michigan, on the southwest side of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Also, can we just address the fact that Vulcan is perhaps one of the coolest names for a city ever, I had no idea Michigan had a city named Vulcan.
But anyway, back to the matter at hand, and that's exploring the Iron Mine of Iron Mountain.
Not only do you get to see the different materials mined, and the type of machinery used to do the mining, but you also get to take an underground train ride through one of the iron mines.
This sounds and looks like it would be such a cool hands-on learning experience. It could be an awesome field trip opportunity or a chance to explore Michigan's great offerings.
