In Michigan – This Is Where Your Donated Venison Goes
For years now, we've told you about the Michigan Sportsmen Against Hunger and their venison donation program, which helps to feed thousands of people. Hunters donate their deer when they go to one of the participating processors, the processors turn it into ground venison and it goes to someplace in the food bank or food pantry system here in Michigan. The Detroit Free Press reprinted a story from the Michigan Wildlife Council to show how things are going with the program and give us a look at some of the real people benefiting from it.
Good stuff. So, keep donating. (I didn't do it last year, but I have in the past) And we need some more game processors to step up in Clinton and Ingham counties.
