If I haven't yet, I will be glad to tell you right now that I am a huge fan of the game show, "Jeopardy" and Alex Trebek.

If I'm running a few minutes late, my wife will kindly pause the TV after "Wheel Of Fortune" on News 10 so I can get to the house, sit down and watch the show. It's kind of like a half hour reset for me. I've been working all day and then I get to sit down for a few minutes to decompress, and if I'm lucky answer a question or two.

And yes, I would love to be a contestant on the show, but unfortunately I apparently haven't done very well when I took the "Jeopardy" online quiz. At least I don't think so since to date I've never heard back from the show. That's okay. I'm fine with having my evening sit down with the show Monday through Saturday.

Another game show that I was a fan of back in the day was "Match Game". You may remember the Gene Rayburn hosted version which featured Brett Somers, Charles Nelson Reilly and Richard Dawson as regulars on the show from the early 70's to the early 80's. Richard Dawson went on to become the first host of "Family Feud".

So imagine how cool it was for me to be thumbing through my Facebook timeline over the weekend and see that my friend Adam was going to be a contestant on Sunday night on the new version of "Match Game"! Adam is second from left in the photo above. Like I said, being on a game show has always been a goal and I was happy to see someone I know be able to compete.

This new version of "Match Game" is hosted by Alec Baldwin and featured a celebrity panel last night that starred Sam Richardson, Jane Krakowski, Ben Schwartz, Caroline Rhea, James Van Der Beek and Vivica A. Fox.

I won't tell you what happened, but I will say that Adam faced off against Marissa, who was also a good player and, well...check the show out here to see how he did last night. While I won't spoil it if you didn't get to see it, I will say it was really a fun show to watch and it would've been that way whether I knew one of the contestants or not. It was very entertaining.

By the way, while I won't tell you what happened with Adam on "Match Game" so you can see it for yourself, I can tell you that the show was taped a few months ago and he's since gone back to his daily duties which includes working with big stars like Justin Moore, Brantley Gilbert and Thomas Rhett.

As they say, somebody's gotta do it...(-:
