Help ‘Race For The Cure’ This Weekend In Lansing
A 5K for a great cause is taking place this weekend.
According to the Lansing State Journal, The Susan G. Komen Mid-Michigan Race for the Cure is taking place this Sunday. Hundreds will gather "at Adado Riverfront Park and race toward a world without breast cancer. " This annual race helps raise funds for many services, including treatment, as well as research. And a lot of the funds raised will stay right here in Mid-Michigan; according to the Susan G. Komen website, "75% of the net proceeds raised through Race for the Cure stays in our community".
There's still time to register for the race. You can register on Friday and Saturday at Playmakers; Friday 10 am - 8 pm and Saturday 10 am - 5 pm. Or you can register the day of the race at the Gannon Building, 11 am - 1:30 pm. Race starts at 2 pm. Registration costs are $15 for children 12 and younger, $20 for those 13-23 year old, and adults 24 and older are $30. Get more info here.
