Lansing Mall Favorite Hela’s Kitchen Is Moving to a New Spot

One Lansing eatery is moving.

If you've been inside the Lansing Mall recently, you'll notice that it looks a bit different as of late.

And if you've been to the Lansing Mall Food Court, you’ve probably caught the scent of Hela’s Kitchen.

Hela's Kitchen is a family-fun, Mexican fast food restaurant in the Lansing Mall Food Court. It opened in April 2023, and since then has been serving up family recipes and authentic Mexican cuisine.

Recently, Hela's Kitchen announced that they would be moving to a new location!

After serving up yummy eats in the food court for over two years, Hela's Kitchen is moving down the road.

When and Where is Hela's Kitchen's New Location Opening?

The new location at 1909 W Saginaw St is actually an old Mexican restaurant: the former location of Famous Taco (which moved to the west side of town, 321 S Waverly Rd). It's right across the street from Irish Pub.

The last day that Hela's Kitchen will be open in the Lansing Mall is Friday, June 27. They hope to be open in the new location sometime in August, but they don't have a specific date just yet.

We'll of course keep an eye out for updates about the grand opening at the new location. Plus, any other restaurant changes Lansing anticipates over the next six months.
