Happy Birthday Kevin Sharp!

This is Kevin Sharp. In 1997 he had a HUGE Country hit with the song in this video, it's "Nobody Knows". It was #1 for four weeks.

In case you don't recall Kevin's story, he's a cancer survivor. He found out he had a rare form of bone cancer when he was a teenager. Thankfully, he overcame it and went into remission in 1990.

He began pursuing a career as a singer and as fate would have it his demo tape landed in the hands of super producer David Foster (Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Chicago) who helped him land a record deal. He enjoyed success in the music business for quite a few years.

Today Kevin still sings, he's a motivational speaker and a spokesperson for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

He may not remember, but he came to Lansing a few years ago for a visit and dinner. I remember him. He's a real inspiration and he's living proof that there is hope against a terrible disease.
