Some may think this is coming from someone who is crazy, but I'm really not. Really. Some would disagree with the following, and given their personal situations you could understand their attitude. I realize that the COVID-19 pandemic has turned lives upside down in varying degrees, but here we go. Take a deep breath and...

Count you blessings.

If you're still working, have a roof over your head, able to feed you and your family and you and your family are healthy, count your blessings.

Even though there again are varying degrees of the above for everyone, having just the basics these days can be a blessing. While even before the pandemic there were those who were struggling, so many people have joined the ranks of the needy and the hungry and if that is you or someone that you know, the following could be terrific news.

According to their Facebook page, the Greater Lansing Food Bank will be holding a drive thru Mobile Food Distribution on Saturday in Holt at the Olivet Baptist Church.

This program is free and it is where the needy can get non-perishable and fresh food. This can be a great help to seniors on a fixed income, people or families with low income jobs and more.

The Mobile Food Distribution will be from 10 a.m. until Noon at the church or until the food runs out so if you or someone you know could benefit from this event, be sure to check the Greater Lansing Food Bank Facebook page to get more information.
