When I was a kid, I couldn't wait until it was time to put on my favorite Halloween costume so I could go trick or treating with all of my friends.

Most communities in Greater Lansing have trick or treating hours from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday for the Halloween holiday.

These communities have trick or treating times that do not fall between 6-8 PM on Halloween:

  • Leslie—5:30 to 7:30 PM
  • Pewamo—Westphalia-5:30 to 7:30 PM
  • St. Johns—6:30 to 8 PM

According to the Lansing State Journal, this Monday, Oct. 28, trick or treating downtown will happen on a new square, the Capitol lawn. The event is free and open to the public.

Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 6 PM, you can dress up the kids for trick or treating at Eastwood Towne Center. This event is also free featuring family entertainment and games, live music, cider and donuts, face painting and more.

Another fun event to check out is Potter Park's Boo at the Zoo. Oct. 27 & 28 at 1301 S. Pennsylvania, in South Lansing. Have fun with their straw maze, candy stations and more for kids to enjoy.

I love Halloween. Watching people dress up in their favorite costumes and going out trick or treating makes this holiday so much fun and very entertaining!
