Grand Rapids Attempts To Break Another World Record Tonight
Got plans for tonight? Well, you might want to head over to Gilda's LaughFest in Grand Rapids because they're trying to break another Guinness World Record there tonight. In the past they've held similar events that have included included people wearing sunglasses in the dark, fake mustaches & chicken beaks as well as tossing rubber chickens. However, tonight's event involves crowns.
The opening night event at Gilda's at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids will include a group of people (hopefully a large group) that will be trying to set a record for the most people wearing paper crowns. Organizers say the current Guinness World Record was for the most people wearing paper crowns was achieved last July by 1,324 participants in India.
The community kickoff at Gilda's starts at 5:30pm. It will be held indoors and is open to people of all ages. For more information on the World Record attempt, click here.
