Fowlerville Fireworks Finally Cancelled
Fireworks. They can get you in trouble in a lot of ways.
Not that I would know. It's just stuff that I have heard...Like...
Never pick up a firecracker even if it's a "dud' and you lit it a week ago and you threw it and it didn't explode and it's been sitting there in your driveway through sun, rain, snow, dry conditions (whatever that is) and more.
Never hold something like a bottle rocket in your hand. There is a reason that it's called a "bottle rocket". You're supposed to put it in a bottle and light it, then it takes off and goes "bang". Not light it, hold it in your hand and wait for it to take off. Sometimes, bottle rockets don't take off...and then go "bang" in your hand. That can hurt...
Never light a mortar shell and then when it fizzles out walk over to the pipe you threw it into waiting for it to launch and look into the pipe wondering what happened...
These are just a few of the instances that we should all be aware of because I have always been told that fireworks should be handled by the professionals. By the way, I was finally told this as my eyebrows were growing back after being singed off by some childish stuff that I was a party to that caused me to have singed eyebrows...What?!?!? Yeah...I know...
Anyway speaking of professionals...according to News 10, Fowlerville postponed their usual 4th of July fireworks celebration because of COVID-19 and now the Fowlerville 4th of July Committee has said they will cancel their 2020 fireworks show altogether.
Yeah...I know you're thinking "Fireworks are the best social distancing event of all since people aren't close together."
But...these days who wants to risk it? I get that. I hope you do too. And speaking of getting it, get more info here about the Fowlerville fireworks at the News 10 website.
