Forget Hollywood. You Should Visit the “Michigan Walk of Fame” in Lansing
Well add this to the ever growing list of things I don't know. And well, you can also add it to the list of things that after over two decades in Mid-Michigan, I was still unaware that we even had one of these in Lansing.
The "Michigan Walk of Fame". Who knew? Well maybe lots of people but not me. Nobody even told me about this until lately, hence this article. Now obviously I've never seen my local "Walk of Fame", but I have seen the one in Toronto, Canada on a visit there a couple years ago. It of course is "Canada's Walk of Fame" and you can find it on King Street and also Simcoe Street if you're ever there and want to check it out.
I was pretty happy to see that one of my all time favorites, "Jeopardy" host Alex Trebek is recognized on "Canada's Walk of Fame". Heck, I even got a picture of that.
By the way, if you were wondering where the "Michigan Walk of Fame" is located (as I was) you'll find it downtown on Washington Square. It is there that many famous Michiganders are celebrated in bronze. Frankly, I can't believe that after all of the time I've spent downtown that I have missed all of this. How about you?
