On cold, wet weekends like this, winter activities may not seem all-too appealing to everyone! I know all I wanted to do this weekend was curl up and binge true-crime documentaries and movies but the Michigan Theatre in Jackson is helping with that!

Why not take a chance to catch your favorite movie with other people, just as excited to see it as you are!?

According to MLive, Jackson College is hosting their Thursday Night Film Series at the historic Michigan Theatre with films scheduled until March to give you something to look forward to this winter!

One of my best friends, a Jackson College graduate, was part of the class that puts on these film nights and she said it was such a cool experience to see movies you have seen before or maybe even some new-to-you ones in a setting like the Michigan Theatre!

The Thursday night films start at 7 p.m. with the doors opening at 6:30 and only $5 admission for non-members!

In addition to the Thursday Night Film Series, a Monday night series is also gaining some traction which is perfect to give people more options to make room in their schedule!

During the summers some of my favorite memories were taking my little cousins along to the dollar movies at the Michigan Theatre so this experience is exciting for film buffs and casual movie-goers alike!

Some exciting films coming up next month include, "Rocketman", "The Big Lebowski", "Breakfast At Tiffany's" and "Jojo Rabbit".

So if you find yourself desperate for something to get out of the house without getting you too far out of your comfort zone, check out the beauty of the Michigan Theatre while catching a film!
