Enjoy a Beer Filled Day, Detroit’s Annual Fall Beer Festival is Back
I have some amazing news for Michigan beer drinkers. The Detroit Fall Beer Festival is back after taking last year off due to the ever so infuriating COVID-19 pandemic.
I'll be honest, I've never been to the Detroit Fall Beer Festival but a bunch of my buddies go every year (aside from last year) and they are constantly raving about how much fun it is.
Scott Graham, brewers guild executive director:
Our mission as the Michigan Brewers Guild is to promote and protect the Michigan beer industry. Our biggest promotions and our longest standing promotions are our beer festivals. What better way to promote Michigan beer than to get people to taste it with lots of different breweries in one setting?
One thing to note, there might be slightly fewer breweries this year as some beer companies have yet to reopen, according to Detroit Free Press.
With COVID-19, it has been over a year without having any of our beer festivals. First and foremost, they're to showcase a number of breweries and their beer, but they're also important fundraisers for our nonprofit organization.
When and where is the Detroit Fall Beer Festival?
The Detroit Fall Beer Festival is going to happen Saturday, October 3rd at the city's Eastern Market. The festival kicks off at 1 pm and only runs until 6p, that evening. So if you're going to go, get your money's worth and get there right at 1 pm.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for this one-day event go on sale Thursday, August 5th. Details are still being worked out but it looks like the capacity will be restricted by possibly 20%.
Tickets will be $50 in advance or $55 at the gate, if they're still available the day of the festival.
