EEE Cases Up Dramatically So Far This Year In Michigan
"I'll see yer COVID-19, yer ol' Coronavirus and raise you some Murder Hornets..."
You can almost hear something sounding like that being said by some guys engaged in some card game in the Old West, can't you? I mean, it's like everything is kind of piling on in the bad news side of the ledger these days given our current situation, or situations.
And here's the deal, I'm not exercising my right to be negative here. Overall I'm a pretty positive dude, but doesn't it just seem like it's one thing after another these days? And wasn't it just a few months ago that we were thinking that 2020 was going to be such a spectacular year? It just had a ring to it. "20-20"..."Twenty-twenty"...It means perfect vision...It's two even numbers smashed together (if numbers have any special significance to you) and heck, somehow we had made it one-fifth into the 21st Century.
Now don't get me wrong here, I'm sure we've all (hopefully) had some personal victories and some high points through all of this. At least I hope that is your case.
Well, back to my original point of fate piling on these days, WLNS-TV 6 reports that Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) is rearing it's ugly head again and this time around the number of reported cases as of this time last year are double...and more!
If you are unaware, just because the word "Equine" is in the name doesn't mean it's just a horse disease. Nope. This extremely dangerous disease can afflict people too and if you're wondering how it's passed around? Mosquitoes.
Yep.
You are being asked to be extra careful and protect yourself and if you own them, your horses from mosquito bites that could prove tremendously harmful.
