It's never too early to plan for the hunting season this fall. (Maybe Banana Don will actually get a deer this fall...only time will tell...for the record, he has taken a hunter safety course...) Anyway, officials in Eaton County have announced dates for their Hunter Safety classes for 2015.

According to the Eaton County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the response to their classes last year was tremendous. So, this year they will be hosting more safety classes. The classes are free and will be taught by certified instructors who teach firearm safety and laws, basic hunting terminology, conservation, safe hunting practices, outdoor ethics, wildlife identification and management, survival, limited first aid and Michigan Wildlife Regulations.

The classes will be held in the Training Room at the Eaton County Sheriff’s Office located 1025 Independence Boulevard in Charlotte from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Here are the dates for this year's classes:

September 14, 15, 17, 2015

September 28, 29, October 1, 2015

October 12, 13, 15, 2015

October 26, 27, 29, 2015

November 9, 10, 12, 2015

Please keep in mind that class size is limited to 50 students for each session. To sign up or if you have any questions, you can contact Jerri Nesbitt at (517) 543-5257.
