East Lansing Downtown Underground Market Happens This Weekend
There's nothing like a farmers' market. The sights, sounds, smells, food, and deals you can get are awesome. And you're supporting local farmers, vendors, and folks right here in our community.
Usually we have to wait until spring to head out to these on the weekend. One of my favorites has always been the Meridian Township Farmers' Market.
What happens when you take this...
And this...
Maybe even a little of this...
And move it inside, downtown, and underground?
Welcome to the East Lansing Downtown Underground Market.
Everything you love about a farmers' market but we change the scenery.
You still get vendors, farmers, artists, local businesses, and more. A list of market vendors can be viewed here.
The East Lansing Downtown Underground Market will be hosted every other Sunday on the lowest level (level P1) of the M.A.C. Avenue Garage, 310 M.A.C. Ave., through early May 2021. (City of East Lansing)
If you watch the video above, you'll get a better understanding of where the event will take place and how to get to it.
Remaining dates for the ELDUM are as follows:
- Sunday, Feb. 28
- Sunday, March 14
- Sunday, March 28
- Sunday, April 11
- Sunday, April 25
- Sunday, May 9
In addition to shopping for fresh, farm-grown Michigan produce and locally made crafts and products at the market, customers are encouraged to support local downtown East Lansing businesses while out and about. (ELDUM Facebook)
Covid-19 safety protocols will be in place. So facemasks, social distancing, and you're asked to limit the size of your shopping groups. No animals please unless they are service animals.
