Do We Dare Travel Over the Holidays?
Traveling over the holidays is always stressful. This year it could be more stressful because of the pandemic. Now I will tell you, I did travel a few times over the summer, and it was pretty easy with no problems.
The airport was not crowded and going through security was effortless. Plus all the middle seats on the plane were empty. Not sure if that will be the case this Thanksgiving and Christmas. I found most people were pretty relaxed as well. So maybe traveling this year won't be so bad. Seeing the family may be good for all of us if you want to get out of Dodge.
If you are traveling over the holidays, here are some questions to ponder according to Hotels.com. Of course there will be some risk, but if you follow all the safety rules, you should be ok. The risk of course will be higher in some cities than others, so please consider that and check the stats.
Now that I am back in Michigan, I will have an easy commute because most of my family is in Chicago. It's only a 3 1/2 drive, so if the weather cooperates it should be easy. Nice thing about this is if I pull an audible and decide to stay home and celebrate the holidays in Lansing, I can make that decision last minute.
My morning partner Erica Gray is from Michigan, so I already dropped a hint to her because she says her family thanksgivings are fun. Plus if her family is as kooky as she is it should be a good time!
