The Swordsmanship Museum and Academy is holding it's soft opening this week. It appears they've been holding events and classes for the past few years with the goal of opening a brick and mortar location - which is now happening!

Hours are:

Monday April 4, 3:30p.m. to 6:30p.m.
Tuesday April 5, 12p.m. to 6p.m.
Wednesday April 6 3:30p.m. to 6:30p.m
Thursday April 7 12p.m to 6p.m.

The new museum is located at 3926 West River Dr. in Comstock Park.

Cost is $5 per person and kids 3 and under are free.

During the soft opening, you can take an early look at the new museum's exhibits and galleries featuring rare and unusual artifacts, quality replicas, and interactive displays. There's also a kids area with coloring and a castle play set.

The museum says they offer a unique experience where visitors can view swords and weapons used in the military, for sport, and for show throughout history.
