Monmouth University is having a great basketball season. After, surprisingly, NOT getting an invitation to the NCAA Tournament last year, looks like they'll be there this year. And they'll be led by a senior named Justin Robinson. Justin is about to be named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference player of the year and he has many fans, but none bigger than 11-year-old, 5th grader Erica Schaeffer. According to Asbury Park Press, Erica has taken to writing all 30 NBA general managers to make sure they take a hard look at Justin when the NBA draft rolls around.

On Monday, Erica got a hand written note back from Jeff Bower, GM of the Pistons, which, to her relief says, "We are very familiar with Justin Robinson  and his accomplishments at Monmouth University."

Everybody might think this is cute now, but how many teams will at least take a look at Justin before the draft? More than would have before they got Erica's letter.

Nicely done Erica. Here's the story.
