Owosso's Curwood Festival runs Thursday (6/1) through Sunday (6/4). The annual downtown event celebrates one of Owosso's favorite sons (author James Oliver Curwood) with four full days of events including carnival rides, parades, live entertainment, and Dog of the Year and Mr. Owosso competitions among other things.

Jackson's Ella Sharp Museum debuts a new exhibit on Thursday (6/1) - Gear Up: The Science of Bikes. The exhibit (which will remain on display until January 2024) puts focus on "how bikes work, the science and technology behind the machine as well as the history and evolution of the bike and how bikes have impacted our culture."

This Friday night (6/2) is Lugnut P.I. Night at Jackson Field with the Lansing Lugnuts. The Lugs will be in their Hawaiian-themed uniforms, and there'll be a Luggie Hawaiian shirt giveaway too! LAFCU sponsors fireworks after the game, win or lose.

This Saturday (6/3) is National Trails Day, and the Trail Town 10K & 5K are perfect ways to commemorate the occasion! Lansing's Potter Park Zoo provides the start and end point for the 10K. (Don't forget there's also a 5K option.) The event benefits the Friends of the Lansing Regional Trails. The run begins at 8am.

The Capitol City Old Car Club 2nd Annual Benefit Car Show takes place Saturday (6/3) from 9am to 3pm in the Lansing Community College West Campus parking lot. Come for the classic cars - stay for live entertainment, door prizes, 50/50 raffles, and food trucks too.

Saturday (6/3) is World Migratory Bird Day, and Lansing's Potter Park Zoo helps celebrate "the seasonal migration of millions of birds from their southern wintering grounds back to North America." The zoo plans fun, family-friendly stations set up throughout the park for visitors to learn the importance of migratory birds.
