Enjoy some decadent treats during the Old Town Chocolate Walk this Friday (2/17) and Saturday (2/18). It's a fundraiser for the Old Town Commercial Association, a non-profit whose mission is to continue revitalizing Lansing's Old Town. Ticket-holders will receive a box to collect their chocolate treasures, a punch card, and a map of participating businesses.

The 53rd Annual MSU Spartan Stampede Rodeo is happening at MSU Pavilion this Friday (2/17) through Sunday (2/19). After Monday's tragedy at Michigan State, those involved with the MSU Rodeo Club debated whether it was appropriate to go forward with this year's rodeo. The club posted on its Facebook page that "while we have decided to cancel our Youth Day on Friday, we will proceed with the MSU Charity Jackpot on Thursday and the Spartan Stampede Rodeo scheduled for Feb. 17-19 at the MSU Pavilion. We will prove that evil will not win. And we will show that Spartans Will…remain strong."


Winter Warrior Patio Party

Lansing Brewing Company is hosting a Winter Warrior Patio Party on Saturday (2/18) from 1pm to 5pm. Live music, a roaring fire pit and outdoor grilling are just some of the things you'll encounter at this event. A portion of the day's proceeds will go to Ele's Place - a healing center for grieving children, teens, young adults, and their families.


Free Fishing Weekend

Michigan's first Free Fishing Weekend of the year is this Saturday (2/18) and Sunday (2/19). No fishing licenses are required on any of Michigan's waterways this weekend, including the Great Lakes; however, all other regular state fishing rules and regulations apply.
