I have to admit that I was one of the lucky ones on Monday. After months of not being able to get a haircut (and highlights in my case) in Michigan, thanks to my hairstylist, Jamie at Holiday Lansing Parlor, I was fortunate enough to get a haircut and highlights on the VERY FIRST DAY possible. Now, I realize that there are MANY people that are still waiting to get in to get a haircut. My husband is one of those people that tried to get in to the barber shop on Monday without any success. And between us, he desperately needs a haircut.

Since we're all still supposed to be practicing social distancing in Michigan, there were a couple of changes at the hair salon yesterday. First, I had to stay out in my car until they texted to me to let me know that they were ready for me. They also had me wash my hands as soon as I entered the building. And yes, you have to wear a mask and they have to wear a mask. There's also lots of disinfecting that has to take place during each step of the process. Besides those few things, there really wasn't that much difference that I could tell versus a *normal* visit to the salon.

I wish you all good luck in your quest to get that haircut, color, or whatever you need done. Be patient and be sure to try and tip your stylist a little extra.
