Did You Know About These 3 Cartoons Set in Michigan?
There are dozens of television shows and movies set in the great state of Michigan. "Home Improvement" was huge, and who could forget the American Pie movie franchise?
But what about animated series? Are there any cartoons that are set in Michigan? Turns out there are at least three.
Transformers Animated
"Transformers Animated" came out in 2007 and is set in a futuristic version of Detroit in the 2050s.
42 episodes of this cartoon were produced by Hasbro and Cartoon Network.
Whatever threats may await Detroit a few decades from now, know that Optimus Prime and the Autobots will be there to defend the city!
Motorcity
"Motorcity" only lasted one season, back in 2012 to early 2013.
In this series, Motorcity is basically "underground" Detroit, sort of a refuge from the city itself has become.

According to Wikipedia, Motorcity is beneath Detroit Deluxe – a "futuristic city is built on a giant platform that completely covers Old Detroit and the area that surrounds it, and it had the personal freedom of its citizens taken away, but almost nobody living there realizes it."
The show follows the tug-of-war between the "Burners", who fight to keep Motorcity free, and Abraham Kane, the antagonist who wants to rule it all.
The Loud House
The most well-known and most successful of all the cartoons set in Michigan is Nickelodeon's "The Loud House", based in the fictional town of Royal Woods (the series creator Chris Savino grew up in Royal Oak - go figure).
"The Loud House" follows young Lincoln Loud, a young boy growing up in a house with 10 sisters. It's a hectic household, and the inventive Lincoln constantly tries to devise ways to make everything run more smoothly. It doesn't always work out that way.
"The Loud House" debuted in 2016 and continues to produce new episodes.
