Cadillac Jack From “Caddy and Gray” Explores Old Town
I had a great weekend getting to know my new home. And the weather was so perfect for exploring, too! It's always fun moving to a new area because you get to explore new neighborhoods, restaurants, watering holes, and of course new people and cultures. I am moving to the downtown area and so excited to get the know the place.
I started my excursion in Old Town at 4 PM Saturday and went to "The Grid," and as I walked in, I was amazed. There were more than a dozen vintage original arcade games like pinball. Yep 5 balls for a nickel on the label, plus Donkey Kong, Galaga, Shooting Galleries, Centipede and many, many more. Plus if you have a drink or soda, you get free tokens. I had an organic root beer that that was the best I ever had. They even have sarsaparilla.
After that, I had dinner with a friend at Meat Southern BBQ & Carnivore Cuisine. All I can say is WOW! The menu was amazing. We split the Barbecue Pork Belly Reuben and the Boss Hog with18 layers of meat, and we started with Eddies Egg Rolls. I will be a frequent customer here. Truly amazing kids.
I found walking around in Old Town so refreshing with such a great cast of characters, and everyone was so friendly. There were even street performers.
I snapped a few pictures while I was looking around that you can see below.
