I'm sure you have a routine that happens every day before you go to work or school. Mine starts every weekday when I get up at 3:45AM. Anybody who works a shift that's not 9 to 5 (third shift auto workers, late night security guards, vampires) knows that it's a different world that early in the morning. These are the featured players in my daily morning routine: (besides my lovely wife Michelle, who said, "Do NOT take a picture of me at 4AM!")

and the crew of the UPS cargo plane, that flies over 127, low on final approach to runway 28 left, usually around 5AM, just when I'm coming off I-69. I don't see them every morning. I'm sure sometimes they land from the west, and sometimes "our schedules" (I'm late) are off by a few minutes. But, I see them enough to feel like they're a part of my morning. And I don't talk to them every morning, (or in reality, ever) but there have been times, during snowstorms or when the wind is really blowing, that I've whispered some encouraging words as they've flown over me.

I wonder if they get to wear shorts in the summer?

Another safe landing at Capitol Regional Intl. Airport. Thanks to me, of course.
