Award-Winning Holt Charity Is Looking For Bowlers
Over the past few years we've had several opportunities to work with the volunteers from the Give-A-Kid Projects in Holt. The program has been helping children in need for over 35 years and earlier this year they were selected as one of the winners of the 2019 Governor's Service Awards. They were recognized for their Outstanding Volunteer Program that includes their Give-A-Kid-A-Backpack, Give-A-Kid-A-Coat and Give-A-Kid-A-Christmas projects.
So, how can you help this award winning volunteer program? Well, coming up on Sunday, November 3rd, Give-A-Kid Projects will be holding their 6th Annual Bowl-A-Rama bowling tournament at City Limits in Mason. They're looking for bowlers to join them for their annual fundraiser. The registration deadline is coming up quick as you'll need to get registered for the bowling tournament by this Friday, October 25th. The first shift to bowl starts at 9:30 am and the second shift to bowl starts at 12:30 pm. You can sign up HERE. The cost is $15 per person for a four person team and there's all sorts of prizes. If you'd like to bowl and help raise money for this great volunteer program or if you want to become a volunteer, please call Tim Currin at (517) 256-2844.
