Let's see...over the years I've been fortunate to be asked to play Jacob Marley from "A Christmas Carol", Santa Claus, um, from The North Pole, a Martian from um, Mars, and many other characters in the Annual Silver Bells in the City Radio Plays.

The plays are a salute to old time radio when it was the entertainment medium and where you could tune in to hear comedy, drama, mysteries and more on what was that big radio in your home.

The plays have taken place for the last 14 years at Dart Auditorium on the campus of Lansing Community College and heard on 89.7 WLNZ, the community radio station on the LCC campus. You can listen to the play on the radio but also remember you are welcome to be a part of the audience at Dart Auditorium during the play.

WLNZ's talented staff and volunteers along with Audio Air Force produce the play and it stars local media personalities, actors and actresses, and people who just have an interest and love of acting. And that is where you can come in.

If you have a love of performing and would like to be a part of this year's radio play, then you're going to want to show up and audition for a part. According to the Audio Air Force Facebook page, auditions will take place this Tuesday, November 12 and Thursday, November 14 at WLNZ Radio which is in the basement of 400 North Capitol Avenue in downtown Lansing. The building is located at the corner of Capitol and Shiawassee. All ages are encouraged to audition.

Good luck...or as they say in the entertainment biz, "Break A Leg"!

Oh yeah, and get more info here from the Audio Air Force Facebook page.
