Attention Chicken Wing Lovers, Get Ready For This Festival In Lansing

Chicken wings many years ago were scraps that were just used for making chicken stock, which is a pretty good way to use them.  The recipe.com says that chicken wings were first served at the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, New York.

Many folks say that is untrue. Apparently, there have been several different stories of people selling fried chicken wings at their restaurants. I don't care where they started out as long as restaurants continue to sell them. How about you?

Well, here is a festival I am not gonna miss. You may want to put this 2-day festival on your schedule. The 2021 Chicken Wing Festival will be at Louis F. Adado Riverfront in Lansing on September 4th and 5th.  Michiganchickenwingfestival.com says get ready for live bands and performers from the midwest and across the country.

Your tastebuds will come alive with many wing flavors from different vendors, and food trucks. Come thirsty too, there will be beer, wine, and spirits. Plus fun for the kids with kids zones, craft and merchandise vendors, a cornhole tournament, and more.

So bring your lawn chairs and blankets and remember to get tickets early. Keep in mind that there are a  limited number of Wing Sampling tickets that must be bought in advance.  Some vendors will have samples, but not all. There are different VIP packages as well that you can purchase.
